Biography
For three seasons, it seemed for all the world that young winger Paul Armstrong was going to nail down a first team place. But it just didn’t happen. After making his debut against Dover Athletic during the 1999-00 campaign, Armstrong moved out on loan to Aylesbury United to gain more experience. He came back and, for the next two terms, hovered on the fringes; starting almost as many games as he came on in. Yet, a point came at which the management decided it wasn’t to be. In summer 2002, he left us – signing for Aberystwyth Town in the League of Wales.
