Travel Information

Distance (By Road):

90 miles

Car Route
By Road:

Leaving Stevenage, head south on the A1(M) towards the M25. Or if you feel confident, come across the A602 to Ware, down the A10 a couple of junctions and across to Harlow on the A414 for the M11. Either way, you will be heading clockwise on the M25 towards Dartford.

At Junction 1b of the M25, continue for a further 12 miles clockwise. Exit onto the A21 for about 10 miles before joining the A26 for East Grinstead and Lewes. Continue southbound along the A26 until you reach the Black Down Roundabout, at which point you need to take the first exit onto the Lewes-bound A22.

Continue on the A22 over the Copwood Roundabout and at the Little Horsted roundabout, rejoin the A26 (third exit). Head south down the A26 until you reach the outskirts of Lewes. At a roundabout before the Cuilfail Tunnel, take the second exit onto the A2029 Malling Street.

Travel over the first roundabout, and follow the road around into Eastgate Street. Continue forward onto the B2193 Friars Walk bearing around the right bend. Turn left into Station Road over the railway and at the bottom, turn left into Mountfield Road. The ground is along here.

Where To Park?:

Just outside the ground is a pay and display car park that will probably have enough space in which to park, but if not, there are plenty of local side streets.

Train Route
By Train:

Station: LEWES

Depending on what service you get, you may need to switch at Brighton for routes between London Victoria and Lewes. From Lewes station, leave heading down Station Road, turning left into Mountfield Road. The walk appears to be a 15-20 minute one at most from the station.
