Travel Information

Distance (By Road):

173 miles

Car Route
By Road:

Like most trips to the north and east side of Manchester, we're finding that a cross-country trip via the Sheffield area is preferred by the route planner. Go up the A1/A1(M) to Junction 35 and take the M18 towards Sheffield. After 7.1 miles, leave at Junction 32 for the Sheffield-bound M1 and travel 11.4 miles before exiting at Junction 35a for the A616 to Manchester.

Continue on the A616 for 10-and-a-half miles over two roundabouts, before taking the A628. This will become the A57, but just half a mile after this happens, you'll be turning right onto Back Moor for two miles. The ground is up on the left.
