Facilities for Disabled Supporters:

Registered disabled supporters are eligible for concession tickets, although the club says that's upon confirmation of status - and that's done by producing evidence of the high level of Disability Living Allowance. Personal assistants receive a complimentary ticket.

There is accessible parking provision in the main car park behind the east stand, with three spots for blue badge holders - extra spaces might also be available.

Southend United's website suggests that away fans who require the use of a wheelchair can be accommodated in one of the 20 spaces found at the rear of the West Stand - complete with seats for personal assistants too. There are also six seats in the East Stand with commentary points for visually impaired fans.

Pre-Match Pint:

Southend town centre isn't a million miles from the ground, so your trip to the seaside might be best suited to making use of one of the many hostelries there.

Travel Information

Distance (By Road):

58 miles

Car Route
By Road:

You will be wanting to travel eastbound on the clockwise M25, by whichever means necessary. At Junction 29, exit the motorway and join the eastbound A127 for Southend and Basildon. Continue along the A127 for around 17.5 miles before taking the third exit at the roundabout for Prince Avenue - still the A127.

At the next roundabout, the 3rd exit is again the one you want and again will keep you on the A127. After nearly 0.5 miles, turn right at Fairfax Drive and then left after 460ft for where the ground should be.

Where To Park?:

If you find yourself in the streets behind the away end, there should be some on-street opportunities. Or you could pay a fiver for the club's car park behind the main stand or a fiver at Southend High School for Boys.

Train Route
By Train:

Prittlewell is the nearest station to the ground; nearer than the Southend stations anyway. At a mere half a mile, it ought to take around 10-15 minutes to do. If Google serves correct, turn right up Railway Terrace towards East Street.

Turn right onto East Street (there will be a signpost to confirm this) before turning right again onto the A127 Victoria Avenue. Turn left at Fairfax Drive and left again.

Of course, you can always take a trip into the main Southend stations - with services from London Fenchurch Street also an option from the smoke.
