Not one of the longest trips Boro' will ever have to make, but there's some work to be done until you can rest up in one of Chelmsford's finest watering holes. There are a couple of options to explore too, depending on how direct you want to make your journey across into Essex.

The first involves travelling down the A602 to Ware, a brief southbound jaunt on the A10, and then picking up the A414 at Great Amwell to take you through Harlow. Between Ware and Harlow, it is mostly dual carriageway - although, after the M11 interchange on the otherside of Harlow, it is single carriageway for the remainder of the journey.

The A414 will take you into the south of Chelmsford - turn left towards the town centre and left again onto the A138/A1016 and head north. Turn left onto the A1060 for Sawbridgeworth and carry along Bundick's Hill until you reach a right turn for Chigwell Lane.

Take this right and head up here until you reach Melbourne Avenue. Turn right along here and the ground will shortly be on your right. Alternatively, head towards the M25 and travel clockwise for the A12 junction. Head north on the A12 until you reach the A414 turnoff.

Bear left towards Chelmsford and follow the directions for when you meet the A138/A1016.

Where To Park?:

There is a modest car park at the ground but it could well fill up ahead of kick-off.

Train Route
By Train:

Leave the station and cut down the pedestrian area onto Duke Street. Turn right and continue along when it becomes Rainsford Road and then the directions become essentially the same as the car ones once you get to Bundick's Hill, unless you fancy cutting through the residential area on a more direct route.
