Three months after signing for Watford, midfielder Josh Walker signed for Stevenage on a short-term loan deal in November 2010 in a bid to provide the player with first team action; something that the Watford management felt that it was unable to offer him at that time.
The youngster came with a wealth of experience, after former club Middlesbrough allowed him to go out on loan to a number of clubs. Walker has even spent a brief time in the Scottish Premier League with Aberdeen; coupled with the lower league English sides he has played for, the experience is well-established.
Perhaps Walker's most successful time was a loan spell at fellow League Two side Rotherham United, where he returned three goals in 15 appearances - hardly the worst record for a well-thought of midfielder.
Walker rejoined Stevenage for a second loan spell in August 2011, but again returned to his parent club the following November after the arrangement was cut short.
