Pacy young winger Bruno Andrade was one of two arrivals announced at the start of October 2013, with the player joining from Championship outfit QPR on a short-term loan deal. Boro's width had been somewhat lacking during the opening exchanges of the 2013-4 season and it appeared as if manager Graham Westley had addressed the issue with Andrade's loan.

Andrade was originally born in Portugal but made the move to QPR at a relatively young age; 13 years old was the age at which he entered the West London club's academy system. That system saw him adapt to be able to play in a number of other positions alongside his favoured role on the wing - much to the delight of then-QPR boss Neil Warnock.

His QPR debut came against Preston North End in November 2010, and his Premier League debut in August 2011 at Wigan Athletic. There were also loan spells at Aldershot Town and Wycombe Wanderers to provide yet further Football League experience. And with first team chances limited under Harry Redknapp, Boro' was to offer valuable game time for the player.
