The signature of Tom Pett in summer 2014 saw Stevenage capture one of the latest talents to establish himself at Wealdstone, before stepping up the leagues and the chance to progress his career at a higher level. And hopes for the winger's future were high when he arrived at the Lamex Stadium.

With his pace and eye for goal, Boro' targeted Pett as a player who could bring some much-needed dynamism to the side as it prepared for life back in League Two in 2014-5. If reports are to be believed, the Hertfordshire club were not the only one chasing the signature of Pett either.

Before his time at Wealdstone, Pett captained hometown side Potters Bar Town.

After a bright start to his career at the Lamex, Pett became a regular fixture in the Boro' side and chipped in with a number of goals now and then. Changes in management, however, meant different views on his best position was. And it was no surprise his form waned as a result of that uncertainty. Having put in a good shift for us, the midfielder left the club in January 2018 for Lincoln City.
