Connor Hunte came through the entry door at Stevenage Football Club in August 2016. Boro' gaffer Darren Sarll secured the services of the young English winger on a half-season loan. And with a limited number of out-and-out wide players to choose from, Hunte's arrival would give a new dynamic to the squad.

Hunte signed for Wolves in 2014 from Premier League giants Chelsea. The winger had been at Stamford Bridge as a member of its academy for a number of years, signing a scholarship in January 2013. But, as is often the case with the bigger clubs, opportunities were few and far between. He was released seven months later.

The player had already tasted senior football prior to his arrival at Boro'; Hunte made his professional debut against Bristol City in March 2016. And, in addition, he had accumulated caps at England U16 and U17 level. Boro', and his loan spell, provided a handy platform for Hunte to further show just what he could be capable of.
