Stevenage had found goals hard to come by going into the 2016-7 League Two campaign - and the opening weeks of the new term didn't seem to deliver much improvement. It wasn't a shock, therefore, when boss Darren Sarll drafted in another striker on transfer deadline day at the end of that August.

Tyler Walker was the young Nottingham Forest marksman with the task of sparking an upturn in Boro's fortunes in front of goal. He arrived on a season-long loan deal from the Championship club, bolstering the forward options already on offer at the Hertfordshire club.

Walker graduated through the academy ranks at Forest to make his senior debut in March 2015. At the start of the 2015-6 season, he had a number of opportunities to impress and grabbed his first senior goal too. Later that season, he joined Burton Albion on loan.

In addition to his domestic outings, Walker had been called up to the England U20 squad and scored twice on his debut. It's maybe no shock that Walker had a calling in football - he followed in the footsteps of dad and ex-Forest and England defender Des, while younger brother Lewis was on the books at rivals Derby.
