Boro's first move into the January 2019 transfer window saw Moses Makasi come in on loan; the dynamic midfielder arriving from West Ham United until the end of the 2018-9 season. Dino Maamria was certainly happy with his acquisition: "Moses is a good footballer and I am really pleased we have been able to get this one over the line," said the gaffer.

Makasi came to us at the age of 23-year-old and the captain of the Hammers' U23 side. After starting his career in East London, Chelmsford City and Plymouth Argyle gave him a taste of first team experience; the latter being the club at which he scored his first senior goal too. Boro' fans were no doubt hoping for more of the same (and a little bit more) in his time with us.
