Stevenage Seasons 2009-10

Graham Westley

Conf = Blue Square Premier
FAC = FA Cup
FAT = FA Trophy

It'd been a long 14-year wait, but Stevenage Borough finally got their long-awaited promotion to the Football League in 2010. Quite simply, it was a dominant campaign from Graham Westley's men and a record-breaking one too - had it not been for Chester City's demise, Boro' would have soared above the 100-point mark with just five defeats to their name.

Boro' also gave it a good go against Port Vale in the FA Cup, but an uncharacteristic mistake from Mark Roberts at the Lamex gifted Vale the win. In the FA Trophy, a historic non-league double was on the cards as Boro' marched to the final - but a red card and horrendous injury to Charlie Griffin saw us end with nine men as Barrow won the match after extra time.

Most appearances: Scott Laird - 51

Top goalscorer: Yemi Odubade and Charlie Griffin - 15
