Do you have a nagging sense of deja vu each and every time we play Morecambe, Barnet or Northwich Victoria? It’s no surprise, given our club records. The chances are it’s ‘cos we have played them all enough times to last a lifetime. That’s certainly true of bloody Woking – if nothing else at least. Here on this page is your chance to learn who we’ve played most often, beaten most often and scored against most often. It’s also a chance to explore clubs we don’t do well against too. Note:
A “cup opponent”, obviously, is taken from any match not part of a normal league season. It also counts each game played, including replays or second legs. The 1996-7 FA Trophy semi-final had both, for example, and added three more meetings with Woking to the tally.
* is where Stevenage have played a team at least five times. It’s harder to not score against a side after five cracks than, for example, in a one-off FA Cup game. That’s what we think, anyway – and we’re sticking to that defence.
